The first ingredient found in CBD Oils is CBD or cannabidiol. This is a natural phytocannabean found in 1940 in Jamaica. It is among the many known cannabis phytochemicals and accounts for more than 40% of the herbal extract from cannabis plants. CBD Oils is not currently regulated by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA only allows pure, all natural substances that may have minimal or no interactions with other drugs or medications.
There are two types of CBD Oils: those that are extracted from plants grown under strict guidelines and those that have undergone scientific study. Most of the extracts are produced from cannabis that has had its flowers harvested after it’s buds have opened. The buds of these plants are then processed into CBD Oils. The process that is used for CBD Oils usually involves the removal of the flowers and leaves of cannabis plants. Then, the oil is pressed and filtered in order to separate the oil from the plant material. After the extraction, the oil is then tested for purity by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) for potency. In order to obtain pure CBD Oils, the plants need to be grown under very strict rules, most of which are not yet known.
